The Walking Dead star Tom Payne revealed that he and his wife 'unexpectedly' welcomed twins earlier this month.
The English actor, 41, married Swedish model Jennifer Akerman, 34, in 2020 and they share two-year-old son Harrison.
The couple confirmed to PEOPLE on Wednesday that they were taken by 'surprise' when Jennifer gave birth to identical twins on April 1.
'We are overjoyed to share the news that on April 1st, 2024, we welcomed twins into our family! An entirely unexpected and wonderful surprise,' they shared.
They said that Harrison is 'over the moon to have not one but two new siblings.'

The couple confirmed to PEOPLE on Wednesday that they were taken by 'surprise' when Jennifer gave birth to identical twins on April 1
Tom added: 'Jennifer and I have joked that he had something to do with this because there's nothing he likes more than a house full of people.'
Along with their birth announcement, the couple was 'excited' to reveal that they will be launching a podcast this month, where they'll discuss the 'unique birth.'
'We're excited to share our journey (from the moment we found out we were having twins, to their unique birth and beyond) in our new podcast California Dreamin,' they told the outlet.
'We'll be talking about our life in LA and how we now juggle our careers with three kids!'
Tom and Jennifer have been a couple since 2013 and he popped the question in 2018.
They married in December 2020 after the COVID-10 pandemic thwarted their plans to walk down the aisle in April of that year.
They held a proper wedding ceremony in New York City in November 2022.
According to PEOPLE, they held the wedding at The Foundry in Queens on November 12 and it was attended by a slew of A-list stars.
